Get Excited And Party With The A-Crowd

Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday was on February 20th this year. February 21st was Ash Wednesday, the day the "official" partying stops and the community begins it's 40 days of repentence.

Sounds like a party!

I've often wanted to have an annual post-Mardi Gras party... where we of non-faith could keep the party going after Fat Tuesday has come and gone. A bunch of agnostics and atheists getting their groove on while those of Christian faith are going without something for Lent.

Is that horrible of me?

Quinn

Yes, that is horrible of you. But in a commendable sort of way. I thought attendance might pick up at Easter sunrise service if they added a beverage menu and it became Tequila Sunrise Service.

They could do a pancake and porkie breakfast with bloody mary's after the service!

My dad's family used to go out for brunch after church, and alcohal was always on the table.

I guess that's the main reason why I chose not to be part of any religion, all I saw growing up was drunk Catholics and Lutherans asking for God's forgiveness and guidance for the acts they performed while drunk, only to repeat the cycle over and over again. Hypocritical from my point of view.

I know that's not how all religious people act, but growing up with it on both sides of my family definitely shyed me away from it for the last 20 years.

I drink, I take responsibility for my own actions, and don't let any guilt be washed away by a simple act of prayer - I learn from any mistakes I make and correct myself to prevent it from happening again.

:-)

I know what you mean. I was raised Lutheran but it just didn't take on me. Christianity for many reasons didn't answer my deeper spiritual needs and it took me a long time to find something that did. Personal responsibility is an enormous moral issue that EVERYONE should follow regardless of their religious beliefs.

Three cheers for 'that1gal' for understanding me! She's one of the few who seems to when it comes to this topic.

*hugs* to you all the way from Southern California.

Hey, Quinn, wanna be my fake boyfriend? The whole fake relationship thing has pretty much run its course for me with BOJ...

that1gal... very tempting offer, I'll have to give it some thought. There's a few rules I try to live by (and believe me, it's only a few) that I'll have to see if this situation would qualify for:

1) Never date a friends ex or a friends relative. Does being an ex fake girl friend qualify?

2) Don't date 'vanilla' women. I'm not sure about your lifestyle, but mine is kinky... again, does this apply to fake girl friends?

3) Don't date women who I can't drive to see without being to tired to enjoy time with when I get there... once again, do fake relationships apply?

I'll ask my real life g/f if she'd mind... I doubt it, we have an open relationship :-)

Quinn

1) no

2) as far as flavors go I'm definitely not vanilla...I'm more on the toasted almond fudge end of the spectrum.

3) to strictly abide by the fake relationship parameters...I'm just as close or as far away as you'd like me to be.

Quinn, you're either a very bad boy or you really want people to think you're one!

Knock it the fuck off.

You want to play your little focking games, do it someplace else.

I don't need this shit. Just fucking stop.

Quinn, methinks we are busted. I thought BOJ knew we had an open fake relationship. Aparrently I have some serious fake making up to do.

Sorry BOJ... this is why rule #1 exists in real life. Never want to hurt a friend.

Quinn

You want to do this shit, GO HERE.

Thanks
